Special structural elements

Bent special components made of glued laminated timber with a length of up to 36 metres enable the realisation of state-of-the-art structures in timber construction.

Pabst produces special components such as arched girders and gable roof girders made of deal and larch according to the customers' requirements.

Smaller cross-sections with finger joints and larger span lengths at the same time constitute the secret that clearly make glued laminated timber the winner when comparing it to solid wood. Due to the glued and laminated structure, there is almost no risk of twisting, and architects and carpenters can rely on a perfectly straight component which is manufactured in our glued laminated timber works 2 according to their specifications. External controls performed by institutes as well as continuous controls in the company's own laboratory ensure a constantly high quality.

Whether as structural elements for ceilings, roofs or walls, for solid timber, timber frame or timber skeleton construction – larch or deal glued laminated timber can be used flexibly, creates a healthy room climate and impresses with its cosy, attractive visual effects.
