Success of family business began 70 years ago: Everything was started with the sawmill in Katahl / Obdach. It has become one of the most important companies in the Mur valley today through skilful management and constant innovation.
On Saturday, 12 June, over 3,000 visitors were given the opportunity to find out about the products offered by Pabst Holzindustrie, which had invited them to an “open house” day.
Great festivity in the tent
A giant tent attracted the visitors with refreshments for all tastes. Everything the heart could wish for was available, ranging from “Pabst” beer and wholesome fruit juices to great wines. There was a great culinary selection too. The music club Obdach, the “Hafendorfer” and the “Jungen Zillertaler” were part of the musical entertainment program. The “Pabst Holz City“ with specially made playground equipment made of wood, pellets and Alpenspan horse bedding, attracted the young visitors. There was also a bouncy castle and a face-painting stand for the kids.

The lucky winners of the raffle of Holzmarkt Pabst rejoiced over pellets supplies, a garden shed and a pavilion, among others.
“Open house” day
The guests of the company party had the opportunity to visit the factories of Pabst Holzindustrie until 4 p.m. Our staff was available to answer the questions of interested visitors at all stations. Additionally there were panels describing the most important individual operations of production.
A great party for everyone!
Not only interested visitors from the nearby communities were welcomed to the “anniversary party”, but also numerous customers and business friends who did not want to miss out on the convivial get-together. So it was attended by several community leaders as well. Among them, Peter Bacher and Kurt Haller, as the “local mayors”, who appreciate the benefits of an innovative and highly efficient company all the more.
